The car park for this airport is located across from the terminal building. It’s near, it’s safe, and it’s convenient. You don’t need to book with unofficial providers and take a shuttle bus to the airport. It feels more like parking outside a shopping complex than an airport, but it’s still very nearly arranged and easy to use.

The cameras will recognise your number plate and let you in. Make sure you don’t overstay your welcome though, as you could be charged extra.

Technically, you don’t need to book in advance and can just drive up and pay on the day. We wouldn’t recommend it though. You’ll need to use one of the pay-on-foot machines and may end up paying more and giving yourself more hassle.

Teesside International Airport is a small airport located between Darlington and Stockton-on-Tees. It serves the northeast and is owned by the Tees Valley Combined Authority and Teesside Airport Foundation.

In 2019, the airport carried just over 150,000 passengers, much lower than the 700,000 to 900,000 passengers it carried every year between 2000 and 2007.

Popular destinations include Aberdeen, Alicante, and London. BH Air, Eastern Airways, KLM, Ryanair, TUI Airways, and Loganair all fly from this airport.

Teeside International Airport Drop Off/Pick Up Information

You can drop-off and pick-up in the same car park that you use for both short stays and long stays.

It costs £2.50 for stays of up to 15 minutes, after which you will be charged £5. Every hour that you stay beyond the initial hour will cost you £7.

If you plan on dropping off a friend and spending some time with them, head for the Skybar or Landside Café. When you spend at least £2.50 in these locations you can validate your parking for up to 2 hours, so you won’t pay anything.
