Car Park 5 at Birmingham Airport is an official on airport car park. The car park offers a free shuttle bus to the terminal, but is also conveniently just a 10 minute walk away. So you have either option depending on your preference.
The car park is safe and secure, holding the Park Mark Award and features CCTV cameras, ANPR cameras at the entry and exit and has regular security patrols, meaning your car is in safe hands while you are away.

From the M5 Southbound
- Exit the M5 onto the M42 (signed London/M40/N.E.C & Airport)
- Continue on the M42, following signs for the Airport/Solihull/Birmingham East/N.E.C
- Exit onto Viking Road
- Follow signs for the Airport, keeping to the left
- When you reach the roundabout take the first exit onto Viking Road
- The Car Park will be on your left
From the M40 Northbound
- Leave the M40 at Junction 3A onto the M42 signed M1 (N)/M6/Birmingham(E,N&C/Solihull/N.E.C
- Turn onto Viking Road
- Follow signs to the Airport by keeping to the left
- Exit onto Viking Road at the roundabout, 1st exit
- Turn into the car park on the left hand side
When you get to the car park, just pull up to the barriers, press for a ticket and the barriers will open.
If you have pre booked your parking, the ANPR cameras will recognise your car and automatically dispense you a ticket.
Once you have taken your ticket, pick any vacant space and take the short walk to the terminal.
There is also a free shuttle bus if you need. Just head over to stand 2,6,7.
When you arrive back at the airport you can either take the shuttle bus back to the car park or take the short walk.
The car park is signposted from outside the terminal. If you leave by door A, just follow the footpath on the right which leads to car park 5.
When you have got back to your car, head straight to the barriers and the ANPR cameras should recognise your number plate and lift the barrier for you to continue your journey.
If you have not pre-booked your parking or have overstayed your booked period you will need to visit the pay station before you leave.
Staff will be on hand, in the control centre if you need any assistance. These is an assistance button on the exit barrier.
Birmingham Airport Car Park 5 has been awarded the Park Mark Safer Parking Award, meaning it has passed a risk assement by the police and has facilities to keep your vehichle safe and secure. The Car park has CCTV cameras, ANPR cameras barriers at the entrance and exit and regular security patrols thoughout the day and night.
